Best Beaches in Fuerteventura

There's a range of natural beaches on the island, from those with golden sands, to ones with black sand. These are the main beaches :
Corralejo : This is a stunning beach with 11km of golden sand with clear water. The beach is also known for its dunes.

Costa Caleta : The beach here is probably the main draw to the resort with lovely sand and parasols, and safe for young children. There's a 1.5km walk along the coast path to Nuevo Horizonte.

Playa de Sotavento : The main beach in Costa Calma, this is a long stretch of pale sand with sunbeds and parasols. The sea is clear and safe for children. It can occasionally get windy here which is why it can be popular with wind-surfers.

Playas de Jandia : This beach is in the resort of Jandia in the southern part of the island of Fuerteventura where you will find a huge continuous expanse of white sandy beach backed by sand dunes which come down to the clear sea.

Corralejo : Known for its expansive beach, Corralejo is a firm favourite with holidaymakers. Just 45 minutes from the airport, the resort has a port where you can get across to neighbouring Lanzarote and to the Isla de los Lobos. Nighlife here is plentiful and there's a good selection of restaurants and bars.

Costa Caleta : Located midway along the east coast of Fuertevenura just 20 minutes from the airport, this resort used to be called Caleta de Fuste.

Jandia : Located at the southern end of the island, Jandia comprises several smaller resorts such as Playas de Jandia and Morro Jable.
